The school as the unit of change

In order for school change to be meaningful, it must be owned by the practitioners closest to the students themselves.  Therefore, we are using a teacher leader model to hold the sustained and ongoing work of building teacher communities that engage deeply with the content and practice standards.  Those teacher leaders, in teams, will build their own content knowledge and their own capacity as leaders, while supporting the learning of their peers.
