San Francisco Detracking: One District's Story

California Math Council Central Symposium Keynote March 2019 SFUSD shared our work on secondary math sequencing as we have eliminated tracking for all students. This keynote addressed key implementation approaches and our most recent 4th year course-taking data. We shared our successes and learnings along this journey as we work for equity for all students. Math Update Curriculum Committee
Lizzy Hull Barnes and Brent Stephens SFUSD Curriculum Committee October 2018 Leaders of the Curriculum and Instruction Math Department gave an update to the Curriculum Committee of the SFUSD School Board. This update included data of early indicators of success, including the dramatic decrease of students repeating Algebra 1. The update also included summary data from most recent SFUSD Math Validation Test and summer SFUSD CCSS Geometry course, as well updates on professional development and curriculum.
